Christmas Quartets is CYT Spokane's annual, traditional tour group. Singing traditional carols and popular Christmas favorites in 4-part acapella harmony, this group is the next level for advanced singers. Group will travel around Spokane during the Christmas season in Dickens costumes, spreading the joy and cheer of the season through their beautiful melodies. Additional time will be required as the class will include approximately 8-10 performance opportunities in the community throughout the month of December and may also include extra rehearsal time if needed.
Returning members of Christmas Quartets do not need to audition again and may register for the class right now.
*** If you are interested in auditioning for Christmas Quartets because you weren’t in it last year, please register for your 2nd choice class. Once registered, email CYT Spokane @ to reserve your audition spot. You will be sending in a video Audition via email to us of you singing a 1 minute Christmas song of your choice. Audition videos need to be sent to no later than Wednesday, August 23rd. Please also fill out the online audition form prior to August 23rd. Once the cast list has been posted, you will be transferred into the Christmas Quartets class. ***

Jonikka Erickson

Jonikka began acting and played piano in the Sound of Music with her mom at the Warehouse Theater in Yakima. Jonikka loves music: playing the piano, singing in choirs, musicals at church, bands, orchestra, solo and ensemble and live productions. She currently lives in Nine Mile with her husband Grant and three sweet children Emily, Megan and Mark. Jonikka enjoys teaching kids and sharing the gift of music with others. Jonikka is especially grateful to be part of such a warm, wonderful community of kindred spirits who love God deeply, care for each other and work hard developing character, integrity and confidence.

Presley DuPuis

Presley DuPuis is a proud CYT graduate who flipped over to the grown-up side and hasn't looked back since North Idaho first staged production, Snow White, in 2008 (playing the Magic Mirror). He has gone from being the kid who would play the piano backstage that he wasn't allowed to touch, to a full-fledged accompanist. Over the past decade he has worn many different hats in various CYT leadership roles including teacher, music director, director, pit musician, HYPE adviser, and improv coach. Presley holds his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Eastern Washington University and serves as the resident music director for Aspire Community Theatre while also maintaining his own private music studio where he instructs in both voice and piano. He can always be found playing, teaching, and collaborating with local community theatres, schools, universities, and choirs.
