Let’s get back on our dancing feet with this high-energy hip-hop class taught by dancer extraordinaire, Rachel Horner. In this class you will learn about creative ways to use your body to help tell a story. Learn Hip Hop’s funky steps utilizing lots of dance technique. This fun, energetic, “street-style” of dance over the years has proven to be a great way to develop one’s ability to pick up choreography fast. It is a technique and approach to dance that is unique all on its own. It uses dance forms such as break dancing, pop-locking, as well as classic jazz forms to create lively dances and a great deal of fun.

Class minimum - 5 students
Class maximum - 12 students

Rachel Horner

Hello CYT friends! My family and I have recently returned back to Spokane from the beautiful Republic of the Marshall Islands where I was teaching for a year and a half. I graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a Bachelors in Dance Education and Technical Theater. I had the opportunity to choreograph for the 2018 CCT's production of The Music Man, and directed and choreograpahed this last summer's CCT's Seussical. I am excited to be teaching for CYT again this winter. We are going to have a great session exploring the talents our loving Father in Heaven has given to us!
