Teacher:

Mikalah Barem

Mikalah began her love for the arts when she began dance lessons at only two years old. Over the years, she has performed in community and university theater productions, choirs, dance shows, and jazz ensembles. In 2016, Mikalah graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a Vocal Performance focus. She has taught theater camps and classes for Skagit Valley's META performing arts and Theater Arts Guild, as well as Salem's River City Rock Star Academy. In Spokane, she teaches private piano and voice lessons out of her house in South Hill as she attends Washington State University's medical school. Mikalah believes that introducing music, dance, and theater into a child's life as early as possible is very important, which is why she is so excited to be teaching at CYT!
