Description

These three musicals have led to huge change in musical theater over the last two decades; Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, & Hamilton have grown into worldwide phenomena and have brought theater marching forward into the 21st century. This class will take a look at each musical and its contribution to musical theater and pop culture in ways musicals haven’t since Rodgers and Hammerstein (we’ll explain who they are too!). After diving into what makes each show tick and why they have been so influential, we’ll put together a showcase that will challenge and grow students and wow friends and family.
Prerequisite: Core Classes: Dance 100, Voice 100
