Class Description

Join us for theater fun everywhere from the swamp to Duloc. This class will be an immersive introduction to theater making through the lens of the Broadway production Shrek the Musical. Get ready to explore what it takes to make a musical theater production come to life virtually.

Jennifer Von Behren

Jennifer has been involved in CYT since her daughter became addicted to the stage in 2014. Originally from Minnesota, she taught middle school in Missouri for 8 years where she was involved in several drama productions with the students. Jennifer moved to Spokane in 2005 with her husband Mike, and 2 daughters Micah & Moriah. Currently she is working at Whitworth University and loves teaching CYT classes, working with your children, and participating in CCT!

Andrew Sommerville

Andrew Sommerville is a CYT alumnus from the class of 2018 and has been involved in 35+ shows on and offstage. He is currently a junior attending Eastern Washington University to get a degree in theatre with a minor in business. In the past, Andrew has taught musical theatre at CYT summer camps and classes. He is so excited to be teaching again with CYT Spokane.
