Never auditioned for a show before? Need to hone those audition skills after so long away? Join us for our audition workshop taught by Jeff Rocco. Students will have an opportunity to bring a one-minute cutting of an audition song they are working on and share it with the class as they learn new audition skills and tips. This workshop will focus on preparation, presentation, and etiquette.
Students will also have access to additional digital content to further their development at home.
Please see the confirmation email for information regarding the option to come with an audition song to work on in class. This is optional and not a requirement to attend the workshop.
* Attendance in this workshop is not a requirement to audition for a CYT show. Workshop attendance is not a guarantee that a student will be cast in a CYT show.
Jeff has worked with CYT in every capacity! He started as a student in Spokane, where he also directed his first CYT production (Seussical) many years later. Camp Director in Portland, Artistic Director in North Idaho and Seattle, and of course, teacher, later followed. Jeff has worked on stages from Seattle to New York City, both onstage and behind the scenes. Some of his favorite roles include Patrick in Mame, Man #2 in the Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged, offstage the role of Stage Manager is his favorite because making theater happen is what he lives for.
