MainStage Productions

Our main stage productions offer students the chance to perform in a large theater with full costumes and staging. These shows are produced every fall, winter, and spring session.
  • Eligibility: Students ages 8-18 through the entire run of the show and enrolled in a class at CYT Spokane.
  • The Commitment: Rehearsals are on Friday Nights and Saturday mornings for 7 weeks. Culminating in Tech Week and 7 public performances.
  • Parent/Guardian Involvement: As a community theater, parents/guardians serve on "Show Teams" (sets, costumes, props, etc.) to help bring the magic to life.
  • Audition Policy: At CYT Spokane we value commitment. Students who agree to "accept any role" but withdraw after being cast may impact their future casting opportunities at CYT.

Show Manual

Take a look at the Anastasia: The Musical Show Manual to learn what to expect and how to get involved in this CYT Spokane MainStage show production.

To be eligible to audition, students must be between the ages of 8-18 through the entire run of the show and enrolled in a Fall 2026 class at CYT Spokane.

Anastasia Content

While Anastasia the Musical shares some songs and themes from the animated movie, the Broadway show is considerably different. This show follows a more historical account of the Soviet revolution and includes some more mature scenes. For example, the musical begins with the death of the ruling Romanov family, and the scene comes up again later in the show as Anya begins to remember her past. While these scenes are stylized and not graphic, they may not be appropriate for every student.

If it is too much for your student who is 8-12 years old please look into our LITE production
