Mel (aka Melvin) is a CYT Spokane alum. After graduating from CYT, she taught classes, staffed summer camps, and assisted with dance auditions for several years before taking a break to raise her family. Aside from being in CYT shows, one of her favorite roles in theater has been in the orchestra pit behind the piano. Mel studied music at Spokane Falls Community College and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Whitworth University. She enjoys leading worship, teaching kindergarten music, and running her own private piano and voice studio but most of all she loves encouraging everyone around her to love and trust Jesus.
