Enrollment in CYT classes provides students ages 8-18 the opportunity to audition for the current production. CYT Branches produce one Broadway-style musical each session (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Students age 12 and older who want to be part of the show without performing can participate on the backstage crew, or technical crew.

CYT shows are always appropriate for the entire family and are an excellent way to introduce children to the arts at a young age!

CYT Auditions

Students enrolled in CYT Spokane classes are invited to audition for the current production. Auditions consist of a one-minute song, a character line reading, and a short dance routine performed for the Artistic Team. The audition process may also include a “callback” in which a student may be asked to dance, read, or sing for a specific role.  Auditions are a wonderful way for students to gain self-confidence and to show the best of their talents!

To be eligible to audition, students must be between the ages of 8-18 through the entire run of the show and enrolled in a Spring 2026 class at CYT Spokane.

School Field Trips

CYT brings the best in children’s theater to students throughout the county. Literature from the classroom comes to life on stage in quality productions with colorful costumes, professional staging, energetic choreography and singing. All performers and crew members are students ages 8 –18.

CYT School Day performances are designed specifically for elementary, middle school and even high school classes. Last year over 40,000 students attended our productions nationwide.
A minimum of 10 student tickets must be reserved to qualify for special field trip pricing.
